How to use the name picker
What is a name picker?
A name picker randomly selects one or more people from a candidate list. It is useful for fair event draws, presentation order, task assignment, and casual games.
Features
- Enter one candidate name per line
- Pick 1, 2, 3, or 5 winners
- Remove winners from the next draw
- Duplicate cleanup and pick animation options
- Round-by-round pick history
Choose presentation order, activity roles, or classroom turns fairly.
Select task owners, game participants, or challenge targets at random.
How should I enter names?
Enter one name per line. Empty lines are ignored automatically.
When should I remove winners?
Use this option when you run multiple draws and do not want a previous winner to appear again.
What happens with duplicate names?
When duplicate removal is enabled, repeated names are merged. If disabled, repeated names increase the chance of being selected.
Can I use it for official drawings?
It is fine for casual events, groups, and games. For legally binding or auditable drawings, use a certified drawing system.
