Billiards practice tracker
Log dates, patterns, cue points, thickness, attempts and successes. Filter records, combine rates by total attempts, and keep browser saves or CSV/JSON backups.

Saved records
0 / 50Store up to 50 records per tool in this browser. They do not sync to other devices; keep a JSON backup before clearing browser data.

Import this tool’s backups only, up to 8 MiB. All records are validated before merging with new identifiers; the merged list must contain at most 50 records.
How to use
- Enter a practice date and a pattern name you can recognize later.
- Describe cue point and contact thickness consistently and add any notes.
- Enter attempts and successes, then save. Choose a consistent success criterion before practising.
- Filter saved records by from/to dates and pattern, then review the combined rate and pattern totals.
- Distinguish CSV for the current input from CSV for filtered saved records. Keep a full JSON backup to restore or move editable records.
Worked example
For one pattern, 2 successes in 5 attempts followed by 9 in 10 gives 11/15, or about 73.33%. It does not use the simple 65% average of individual rates, 40% and 90%.
Methods and limits
A record’s rate is successes/attempts×100. Combined rates use total successes/total attempts×100 for the selected dates and pattern. Attempts are integers 1–10000, successes integers 0–attempts, and notes at most 500 characters. Date filters include both endpoints. Cue point and thickness are user notes, not measurements of impact or explanations of success. Keep names and success criteria consistent. Changing filters does not reset the input draft. Store up to 50 records in this browser and export CSV or JSON. Backups up to 8 MiB can be imported; there is no account or equipment sync.
Frequently asked questions
Why does the combined rate differ from an average of percentages?
Giving records with different attempt counts equal weight does not reflect the actual attempts. The tool sums successes and divides by all attempts in the selected records.
Can I record a practice with no successes?
Yes. Enter at least one attempt and zero or more successes. Including unsuccessful practice keeps later comparisons based on the actual attempts.
How should I describe cue point and thickness?
These are notes, not automatically interpreted physical units. Use repeatable terms such as high/centre or your usual thickness fractions. The tool does not infer causes or recommend an optimal cue point.
Will changing filters erase my current input?
Filters only change the scope of saved-record statistics, not the input draft. You can export current-input CSV and filtered-record CSV separately.
Can I continue with my records on another device?
There is no automatic sync. Download this tool’s full JSON backup and import it elsewhere. CSV keeps tabular results; JSON moves editable records.
