Golf round statistics tracker
Track scores, putts, GIR and fairway hits for 9 or 18 holes. Review front/back totals with clear recorded-sample counts, save rounds in this browser, and export CSV or JSON backups.
Analysis results
Partial rounds summarize only the holes entered. Nine-hole and eighteen-hole totals are not treated as equivalent or projected to eighteen holes.
Saved rounds
0 / 50Save up to 50 rounds in this browser. Records do not sync across devices and disappear if browser data is cleared. Keep a JSON backup too.
Records stay in this device and browser only. Take care on shared devices and keep a separate JSON backup.
Import this tool’s JSON backups, up to 1 MiB. All records are validated before merging with new identifiers. The merged list must not exceed 50 rounds.
How to use
- Choose 9 or 18 holes, then enter the round date and course.
- Enter each hole’s par and the score for holes played. Include penalty strokes and leave unplayed scores blank.
- Enter putts only when known. Count strokes made on the putting green, not every stroke made with a putter.
- Mark tee-shot fairway hits on par-4-or-higher holes. Record GIR on all played holes, including par 3s. Use hit or miss when known; leave unknown values unrecorded.
- Calculate front/back totals, scores relative to par, score distribution and the recorded sample for each statistic.
- Optionally save in this browser and download CSV. Keep a full JSON backup to move your records elsewhere.
Worked example
A scored nine of par 36 and 44 strokes is +8. If 15 putts were recorded across seven holes, putts per recorded hole is about 2.14. Three GIR hits out of eight recorded holes is 37.5%; four fairway hits out of six recorded holes is about 66.7%.
Methods and limits
Only holes with scores contribute to totals. Unknown putts, GIR and fairways are excluded from their own denominators, not treated as zeros or misses. Record GIR directly when the green is reached in at least two fewer strokes than par; it is not inferred from final score minus putts. Par-3 holes are excluded from fairway statistics. Combined rates divide the summed successes by the summed recorded opportunities. Nine-hole and partial scores are not projected to eighteen holes, and this tool does not calculate an official handicap. Use 9 or 18 holes, integer par 3–6, strokes 1–30 and putts from 0 to that hole’s score. Up to 50 rounds are stored in this browser, without automatic sync or server backup.
Frequently asked questions
How do I record GIR and putts?
GIR means reaching the green in one stroke or fewer on a par 3, two on a par 4 or three on a par 5. Record only strokes made on the green as putts. Since a putter can be used off the green, final score minus putts is not used to infer GIR.
What if a value is unknown or a hole is unplayed?
Leave an unplayed score blank. For a played hole, leave unknown putts, GIR or fairways unrecorded. Statistics show their recorded sample, so you do not need to replace missing values with zeros or misses.
How are par-3 fairways and partial rounds handled?
Par-3 holes are excluded from fairway hit rate. Nine-hole and partial rounds summarize only entered holes; they are not converted to expected eighteen-hole scores or an official handicap.
Can I access saved rounds on another device?
Records use this browser’s local storage and do not sync with an account or another device. Download a full JSON backup and import it in the other browser. Back up before clearing browser data.
Are combined percentages simple round averages?
No. GIR records of 1/2 and 5/10 produce six hits divided by twelve recorded opportunities, or 50%. The individual round percentages are not given equal weight.
