Select the winning hand

Do not also enter confirmed meld tiles as concealed tiles. Concealed tiles + one winning tile + three per meld must equal 14; each kan adds one extra physical tile. Indicators are not part of the hand count.

Choose a destination, then tap tiles. Keep the winning tile separate from concealed tiles. Build each meld draft, then confirm it with Add meld.

Winning context

The current tiles and selected context are analysed. Confirm actual riichi timing, ippatsu eligibility and furiten from discard and call history yourself.

Furiten blocks ron. Discard, call and passed-win history are not entered, so furiten is not inferred automatically. Set this from the actual history; tsumo is treated separately.

How to use

  1. In automatic mode, choose a tile destination and tap tiles. Select exactly one winning tile separately from the concealed hand.
  2. Build and confirm any chii, pon, open kan or concealed kan. Do not duplicate confirmed meld tiles among concealed tiles.
  3. Choose dora and ura indicators rather than the bonus tiles themselves. Select red fives directly from the palette.
  4. Set seat and round winds, ron or tsumo, riichi, ippatsu, any special event, counters, deposits and table rules to match the actual hand.
  5. Calculate the detected yaku, fu, dora and payments, then copy or download CSV. Use manual mode when han and fu are already established.

Example

The closed-hand example is a non-dealer ron with riichi and pinfu plus one dora: 3 han 30 fu. The hand is 3900 points; one honba makes the discarder pay 4200. A separate 1000-point riichi pot makes 5200 received.

Method and limits

For four-player Japanese riichi, selected concealed tiles, a separate winning tile, melds and context are analysed for yaku, fu and points. Where several decompositions are possible, the highest-paying result is used. Yakuman results sum the qualifying yakuman multipliers without adding ordinary yaku or dora han. Dora, red dora and ura dora remain bonuses; they cannot supply a missing yaku. Each indicator list allows up to five tiles; ura needs riichi and matching indicator counts. Options include open tanyao, special double yakuman, 2/4 fu for a double-wind pair, kiriage and the 13+ han cap. Complete discard, call and declaration history is not analysed: enter furiten, riichi and ippatsu only after checking actual eligibility. Honba and collected riichi sticks range from 0–100; the pot is not charged to opponents again. Manual mode converts entered han/fu only. Three-player or Chinese rules, regional yaku, draws, multiple ron, liability and final standings are outside scope.

Frequently asked questions

What is calculated automatically from the tiles?

The tool analyses standard four-groups-and-a-pair hands and special shapes such as seven pairs or thirteen orphans, detects supported yaku and yakuman, counts fu and bonuses, and calculates payments. It chooses the highest-scoring interpretation when several exist.

Why select the winning tile and melds separately?

The final tile and whether groups are open affect waits, concealed triplets, fu and yaku. Select one winning tile and confirm each meld, entering only the remaining tiles as concealed. A kan has one extra physical tile but is one group.

Should I enter the dora tile itself?

Enter its indicator. The tool follows the indicator and counts the resulting dora in the hand. Select red fives directly; ura indicators require riichi and the appropriate matching indicator count.

Are furiten, riichi and ippatsu fully automatic?

No. The present hand cannot reveal full discard, call or declaration history. Check those conditions and set them yourself. Selecting furiten blocks a ron calculation.

Can I still enter han/fu manually and count riichi deposits?

Yes. Manual mode converts established han/fu or an explicit yakuman multiplier. Both modes separate honba and deposits. The riichi pot was already deposited and must not be charged to opponents again.
