STEP 1

Upload a HEIC file

Choose one HEIC, HEIF, or HIF file to convert to JPG.

Processing notice Because browser HEIC support is limited, conversion runs on the server. Files are not stored permanently.

How to use

What is the HEIC to JPG converter?

It converts efficient HEIC images used by Apple devices and some cameras into universal JPG files.

Steps

  1. Select a HEIC, HEIF, or HIF file.
  2. Set the JPG quality and optional maximum edge length.
  3. Choose a background color for any transparent areas.
  4. Review the preview and file size, then download the JPG.
When compatibility matters

Convert to JPG before uploading to Windows apps, websites, or documents that cannot open HEIC.

Recommended quality

Use 85–90% for general photos, or compare 70–80% when a smaller file matters more.

Reducing resolution

2048px works well for web sharing, while 1280px is practical for simple previews.

Why is conversion done on the server?

HEIC decoding support varies between browsers, so a server image library provides consistent results.

Can it convert Live Photos?

Only the primary still image inside the HEIC is converted. The Live Photo video component is not included.

Is photo location data retained?

Original EXIF is not copied, so location, time, and device details are excluded. An ICC color profile may be kept for accurate color.
