Help
When should I use image OCR?
Use it when you want to convert text inside screenshots, scanned documents, receipts, notices, or photos into copyable text.
Why should I choose the correct OCR language?
OCR accuracy improves when the selected recognition language matches the text inside the image. For Japanese images, choose Japanese. For Chinese images, choose Chinese Simplified. Multi-language mode is useful for mixed documents but may reduce speed and accuracy compared to a dedicated language model.
How can I improve recognition accuracy?
If the text is small or blurry, set image scaling to 2x or 3x and enable grayscale conversion and contrast enhancement. Images with clear contrast between text and background are recognized better.
How should I choose a recognition mode?
Use the default mode for general documents. Use paragraph focused mode for documents with clear paragraph blocks, single line mode for one-line text, and free text position mode for screenshots with irregular text placement.
Can OCR results be inaccurate?
OCR accuracy depends on image quality, text size, font, tilt, and background noise. For important documents, always review and correct the extracted result manually.
Are images uploaded to the server?
This utility reads and processes images in the browser. Uploaded images are not stored on the server during normal use.
