What is an Image Cropper?

An image cropper is a free browser utility that selects part of a JPG, PNG, or WEBP image and creates a new file for profiles, thumbnails, banners, and product image requirements.

How to Use

  1. Select a JPG, PNG, or WEBP image.
  2. Choose a ratio preset, draw the area on the image, or enter coordinates directly.
  3. Review the output format, quality, and transparency settings.
  4. Crop the image, review its dimensions and file size, and download the result.
1:1 Square

Useful for profile photos, product cards, and square social media posts.

4:3 · 3:2 · 16:9 Landscape

Suitable for blog covers, photography, video thumbnails, banners, and other wide content.

9:16 Portrait

Designed for full-height mobile content such as stories, reels, and shorts.

Do coordinate values use the pixels shown on screen?

No. X, Y, width, and height use actual pixels from the original image. The selected source area remains the same when the browser window changes size.

Which formats preserve transparency?

PNG and WEBP can preserve transparent backgrounds. JPG does not support transparency, so transparent areas are filled with the selected background color.

Is my uploaded image stored on the server?

No. Reading, selecting, cropping, previewing, and generating the download file all happen inside your current browser.
