How to use
- Choose a photo and drag over the area to cover. For keyboard operation, enter position and size percentages.
- Set the pixel block size or select a solid black cover.
- Generate the result, inspect the covered area closely and save a copy.
Worked example
For a 1000×800 image, left 25%, top 25%, width 50%, height 50% selects about x=250, y=200 with a 500×400 area.
Method and limitations
Pixelation downsamples the selected area and enlarges it without smoothing. Solid cover replaces the selected pixels with opaque black. The original file is unchanged.
Pixelation does not guarantee removal of information. For sensitive names or numbers, use an opaque cover and inspect the final image. One region is processed at a time; option changes rebuild from the original.
Frequently asked questions
How can I cover more than one area?
Save the first result, select that saved image and cover the next region. Check that sensitive content does not extend beyond the selected rectangle.
