WIN-J / MOUSE LAB
Mouse polling rate estimate
Move your mouse to inspect the input rate and intervals observed by your browser. A 10-second run reports rate, median and 95th percentile intervals.
This is a browser observation, not a USB polling-rate certification or device performance verdict.
Use a mouse. Touch, pen and keyboard input are not measured.

How to use
- Select Prepare test and put the pointer inside the area.
- From the first movement, keep moving in broad circles for 10 seconds.
- Repeat in the same browser and conditions. Try again if there are too few samples.
Example
An average valid interval of 8 ms gives an observed rate of about 125 Hz. This alone does not prove a USB report rate of 125 Hz.
Method and interpretation
Uses unmerged move samples when supported. Duplicate timestamps and gaps over 100 ms are excluded; rate is based on the latest 20000 valid intervals at most.
Browser event merging, timestamp precision, the OS and power settings affect results. Does not directly measure sensor latency, click latency or USB specifications.
Frequently asked questions
Why is my 1000 Hz mouse showing less?
The browser may group input around screen updates or deliver fewer move samples. Check with the manufacturer’s software and a dedicated test environment.
What is the 95th percentile interval?
About 95% of valid intervals are at or below that value. Repeat under the same conditions if it stays high; it does not establish a device fault.
