How to use
- Connect a mouse and choose a repeat interval threshold. The default is 80 ms.
- Press each button slowly or scroll up and down inside the test area.
- Compare intervals in the recent-click log and copy your results. Clear the test before a new measurement.
Example
Two left-button inputs 45 ms apart are flagged under the 80 ms threshold. An intentional rapid click can produce the same flag.
How it works & limits
The tool compares real mouse pointerdown timestamps separately for each button. Touch and keyboard inputs are excluded. Wheel counts are directional events delivered by the browser.
A flag does not confirm a hardware fault. The browser, OS, macros and intentional fast clicks can affect results. Side buttons may be intercepted by the browser; wheel events are not physical scroll notches.
Frequently asked questions
Does a flagged click mean I need a new mouse?
First try slow, separate clicks and check whether the pattern repeats. The log is a troubleshooting aid, not an automatic diagnosis.
Does a new threshold change old records?
It applies only to new inputs. Clear the test before comparing different thresholds.
