Parcel volumetric weight and CBM calculator
Calculate CBM and dimensional weight for multiple box sizes. Choose a divisor and per-box rounding, compare actual and chargeable weight, and export CSV.
Results
For each box, take the greater of actual and dimensional weight, round up in kg, then multiply by quantity. 5000/6000 are divisor examples. Carrier dimension rounding, minimums and rates vary; this is not a shipping quote.
How to use
- Choose dimension and weight units; enter packed dimensions, weight per box and quantity.
- Add other box types and select the divisor and per-box rounding used by your service.
- Compare CBM, actual weight, dimensional weight and chargeable weight.
- Copy results or download a CSV including the calculation settings.
Example
Two 50×40×30cm boxes at 8kg each plus one 20×20×20cm box at 4.1kg give 0.128m³ and 28.5kg chargeable weight with divisor 5000 and 0.5kg rounding.
Method and limitations
CBM equals packed volume in m³ times quantity; dimensional kg equals cm³ divided by your divisor. Actual and dimensional weights are compared per box, not after aggregating. Carrier-specific dimension rounding is not applied. Up to 50 rows, 1–10000 boxes per row and 1000m per dimension.
Frequently asked questions
Are CBM and dimensional weight the same?
No. CBM is volume in m³; dimensional weight converts volume to kg using a service divisor.
Should I enter the combined actual weight?
Enter one box weight. Quantity is multiplied separately.
Does divisor 5000 apply to every carrier?
No. Divisors vary by carrier, service and contract. Check the applicable value or enter a custom one.
